Welcome!

Hello, my name is Hannah and I’m a (fairly) recent graduate of the University of Central Florida where I studied English on the Technical Communications track and minored in Digital Media.

In my studies, I enjoyed analyzing the complexities of gender and sexuality in varying forms of media and how they may reflect the world these stories were born in. As a Feminist and bonafide horror fan, these conversations are plentiful.

In my professional career, I would love to build on the skills that I’ve learned during my time in college and continue to do what I love most: writing.

What is Blume’s Blog?

I’m currently working on two separate projects.

The first is a collection of research papers revolving the world of horror, feminism, and literature. Don’t worry if horror’s not your cup of tea! There are papers in the collection that delve more into classic literature, like The Great Gatsby or 1984.

The second is a series of posts about my experiences following the aftermath of graduating college. If you’re interested in a more casual read (or enjoy listening to another person’s woes), then this is the series for you.

In the future, I hope to spread my creative wings and dabble with fiction writing.
